Is your garbage disposal blocked, clogged, leaking, or not draining ? If your garbage disposal is not working properly. Our professionals can help....
Follow these five simple tips to help extend the lifetime of your waste disposal and avoid blockage :
1. Run disposal on a regular basis
2. Use Cold Water
Use cold water when you use the garbage disposal, not hot water. Hot water works great for most stuff to clean but not for the garbage disposal.
Cold water hardens Food, making it easier for garbage disposal to crumble food and and force it out of the drain pipe.
3.Run Disposal for a longer period of time
Keep the water running about a minute until the garbage disposal has stopped grinding up the waste. It means that the drain tube is cleared of all the food.
4. Split waste in small pieces
Cut waste into smaller pieces and put just a few pieces at a time.. If not, you could overwork that disposal ,so it would clog or block it or worse destroy it entirely.
5. Squeeze Citrus Fruit
The peel should help clear the unnecessary waste and eliminate any
unpleasant smell.
Things Not to Throw on a Garbage Disposal
- Potato peels
- Glass, plastic, metal, or paper
- Big bones, seeds, or pits
- Egg shells
- Expandable foods such as pasta and rice

Fresh & clean water is a limited resource While most of the world is covered in water, salt water can only be drank after desalination which is a costly process. Incidences such as droughts further restrict access to clean and fresh water, which is a sign that people need to take steps to reduce water consumption and save as much water as possible.
why ?
For three reasons, people should do their best to preserve water. The less water people use or waste, the less polluted the clean water. In some situations, the use of excess water pressures septic and sewage systems, contributing to groundwater contamination when untreated, dirty water streams into the soil from the sewage system.
Water conservation reduces energy consumption and can even save money for households. The less water a household uses, the less their water bill will cost them Appliances use water, such as washing machines and dishwashing machines, also use considerable power.
Water conservation also allows towns and regions to prepare in the future for more effective use of water resources. If most of the clean water in an area is lost, there will be no water for future generations to use, which mean that the city will need to find new ways to produce clean fresh water which will increase the taxes you will pay
How ?
- Toilets use around 30% of your total water use in the home. The amount of water they use can be decreased by switching your old toilet that uses 3.5 gallons of water to the newer model that uses 1.28 gallons of water
- Reduce your shower time
- Check for leaks
- Change your old appliences with new energy efficient ones

The most significant thing you have to know about your home’s plumbing , If your home is supplied by city water is where to shut off the water. the water meter and main shutoff valve are often within close proximity to each other so finding the meter is a good first step.
Water meters are frequently in an underground incubate close to the road or along an easement between properties. Look along the edge of your property for a metal lid (like a small manhole cover) marked "water meter" or just "water." You can usually remove the water meter hatch cover by unscrewing a single screw.
Underneath, you'll discover a turning valve like an open air nozzle, or a valve with a metal flange. The last may require a pipe wrench to work. In either case, turn the valve clockwise until it stops to shutt down the water supply.
Cautioning:
Although you may need to do this rapidly in a real emergency, in case you're simply trying you may need to first turn off the water intake valves to appliances like water heaters to ensure that your test does not cause any damage Check your proprietor manuals on these gadgets and make fitting strides before closing off your main water supply
You may, of course, also have a water shut-off valve in your basement or crawlspace. Usually this would be along the pathway of the main water line and just inside the house.
